oh ibu...duhai ayah....

Sekali masa di zaman Saidina Umar jadi khalifah, dia terlihat seorang pemuda yang mendokong seorang perempuan tua dibelakangnya ke sana sini.

Lalu Umar bertanya kepada kepada pemuda itu; "Siapa perempuan tua ini dan apa hal keadaannya?"

Pemuda itu menjawab; "Dia adalah ibuku. Dia sudah tua dan uzur serta nyanyuk pula. Aku terpaksa menbawanya ke mana-mana kerana tiada siapa akan menjaganya jika aku tiada. Oleh kerana dia telah nyanyuk, dia akan mengutip sampah dan tanah dan memakannya."

Kata Umar; "Sungguh mulia akhlakmu dan sangat baik perbuatanmu. "

Mendengar kata-kata Umar, lantas pemuda itu menangis.

Dengan kehairanan melihat tangisan pemuda itu, Umar bertanya; "Kenapa kamu mengangis?"

Pemuda itu menjawab; "Dulu semasa aku kecil, aku dipelihara dengan penuh kasih sayang oleh ibuku ini. Keinginan hati ibu ku adalah supaya aku terus hidup dan membesar dengan baik dan sihat. Jika aku sakit, dengan penuh kerisauan dan usaha, ibu akan menjaga aku dan memberi aku ubat. Dengan harapan aku akan sihat dan dapat meneruskan kehidupan."

"Tapi aku..." Kata pemuda itu dan tangisannya bertambah.

"Walaupun aku berkhidmat kepada ibuku sebegini, pernah juga terlintas di dalam fikiran dan hatiku, bilakah ibu akan mati agar aku terlepas dari kesusahan menjaga dan mendukungnya. "

Mendengar itu, Umar turut menangis.

Di zaman Nabi Musa, baginda terlihat seorang pemuda yang berkhidmat dengan sepenuh hati kepada dua ekor babi. Babi-babi tu diberinya makan, dimandikan, diberi pakaian, dibawa tidur didalam bilik dan sebagainya.

Bila ditanya, pemuda itu menerangkan; "Kedua-dua ekor babi ini adalah kedua orang tuaku. Oleh kerana sesuatu kesalahan, rupa mereka telah ditukar oleh Allah menjadi babi. Walaupun begitu mereka berdua tetap ibu dan bapaku."

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
